Why structured preparation makes all the difference

Designed with a practical emphasis, this program will help you:

  • Move from policy selling to client-first protection advisory
  • Understand a client’s life stage, family responsibilities, and real risk areas
  • Identify gaps in existing life and health insurance cover
  • Calculate protection needs instead of relying on guesswork
  • Match insurance solutions with actual client needs and affordability
  • Read policies, compare options, and explain key conditions clearly
  • Handle common client objections without pressure selling
  • Prepare clients and families for claims and regular protection reviews

At the end of the course, you won’t just know insurance products — you will know how to assess a client’s protection needs, explain the gap, and build a more suitable recommendation.

Program Overview

Insurance advice should not begin with a product. It should begin with the client’s life.

Who depends on their income? What happens to the family if that income stops? Are loans covered? Will children’s goals stay on track? Is the existing insurance actually enough? And will the family know what to do at claim time?

The Chartered Inheritance Goal Planner (CIGP) program takes a practical, client-first approach to protection and insurance advisory.

You’ll learn how to assess family responsibilities, income dependency, liabilities, existing insurance, health risks, and future goals before making a recommendation. The program also covers insurance need calculation, product suitability, policy interpretation, disclosures, client conversations, claims readiness, and family continuity.
